Banksy made his new work in the bathroom of his home
Banksy, the world-famous street artist Banksy, who closed the house like everyone else because of the COVID-19 outbreak, brought his art to his home.

The artist’s iconic Girl with Red Balloon in 2006 was sold for $1.4 million at an auction in England in 2018, but the work was destroyed immediately after this sale. Last year, he made a tactical move against a company that wanted to steal his name and made a sound by opening a store called Gross Domestic Product in London. In this store, as we are accustomed to the dystopian art spaces created by Banksy, there were works of art dealing with the media, governments and the refugee crisis.

When it comes to art, the COVID-19 outbreak is a restrictive period, especially for street performers. Another world-famous street artist Pejac used this obstacle as an inspiring element by placing figures that relate to the street of his house during the quarantine period. Banksy also directed his creativity to the interior and shared a work he made in the bathroom of his home.
Banksy shared his new work with the text “My wife hates it when I work from home”. In the work, we see 10 different versions of Banksy’s iconic rat figure while turning the bathroom upside down. Toothpaste, mirror, toilet paper, toilet bowl and walls got their share from these rats playing like a naughty boy.
“Girl with Balloon”, one of the top Banksy stencils exhibited in Sotheby’s gallery, was the most popular.
