Documentary about the last season of Michael Jordan, the greatest basketball player in history The Last Dance

Although not officially the last season, the ESPN documentary that focuses on the 1997-1998 season, which is Jordan’s real final for many, can be watched on Netflix.

What is it, what is not?

The production, which consists of 2020 USA, 1 season and 10 episodes, focuses on the career of legendary basketball player Michael Jordan and the championships he won with the Chicago Bulls. Directed by Jason Hehir, the production focuses especially on the 1997-1998 season, when Bulls and Jordan won their 6th and final championships. Undoubtedly, the fact that the footage shot in this period and published for the first time is also of great effect. In addition, Michael Jordan’s interviews and many famous names (Coach Phil Jackson, general manager Jerry Krause, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, etc.) in the Chicago Bulls Franchise are included in the documentary. It was an exciting good job. Finally, the production’s imdb.com score is 9.7/10

This documentary series, full of unpublished images from the 1997-1998 season, tells a complete story of Michael Jordan’s career and the Chicago Bulls of the 1990s.

Another review

In the quarantine period, I think there are many people who take the dust above the memories they forgot. I do not think that we did not lose any of those who had the opportunity to stay alone and listen more. Maybe I am trying to associate my own nostalgic day with a situation that we have not had, I do not know. Why would I need an explanation to remember my memories of a game that I was once passionately passionate about? Isn’t it enough reason to encounter a documentary about the last dance of the man who played this game best in history?

Watching the first two episodes of this documentary made me aware of many topics: Pippen’s attitude at the beginning of the last season, the time restriction after returning from injury to Jordan in his second season, Bird, Magic, Obama and journalists’ thoughts on Jordan, Bulls before 84. history, the sentences Jordan’s dreams, and dreams as he stepped into Frenchise… As soon as the episode ended, my dreams about the game, my memories, my experiences, my thoughts became fluid in my body and brought me here. The symptoms showed that I would take a sad journey, but I wanted to walk on this road, and I came here.

The first episodes of this documentary, which dipped me into sad dreams for a while, now caused me to question my current thoughts and be angry with myself. Yes, no success can be achieved alone (which in Jordan was talking about in the documentary), yes, it may not have much meaning and logic to choose one as the best, but… His majesty’s personality and the story he created was unique.

Working hard by achieving a dream is only possible with a solid will. There was this virtue in Jordan. To minimize the possibility of failure, he had tried to convince everyone around him about his talent, intelligence, and perseverance from the very beginning. However, all of this could not be enough for him to have a career full of success. What, if Jordan retired before winning any championship, wouldn’t he be considered the best of all time? probably yes. But this possibility was not possible for Jordan. Because he had the ability to see what was missing for success, to close this shortness or to persuade people to close this shortness. The happiness of the effort to achieve a goal was not enough for him. The rhetoric that the pleasure on the road was more satisfying than the goal did not mean anything to him. This is exactly what makes Jordan unique. It was pointless to find an excuse for failure.

Be sure to watch the show. The best quality content I have ever seen on Netflix, the production is amazing. We love this game!

From a Jordan fan

Since I did a PhD on NBA history and Michael Jordan, I did not encounter anything that I did not know in the first two episodes. It is already clear from my nickname. However, this does not mean that I did not enjoy it. For example, I have never seen images of some of the cameras following Jordan. However, I have read and watched all the documents written and drawn about Bulls and Jordan.

Anyone who even likes basketball a little bit watch. Because Bulls’ 97-98 season is the lowest season. Controversies, inequalities, disabilities from beginning to end.

By the way, at the beginning of the second part, there is a section about the money Pippen earned. Let me tell friends without knowledge, while in the 97-98 season in Bulls, Jordan earned $ 33 million, while Pippen earned 2.75. Even after Jordan, the team’s highest-paid players were Ron Harper and Tony Kukoc with 4.5. Though Pippen then found his way with the money he earned from Houston and Portland.
