Animals that can use tools

Yes, we are masters of tools as humanity, but there are many animals in nature that can use tools other than us.

Chimp

They break hard fruits with stone. They carry these stones from far away if necessary. They make spears to kill sleeping galagoes in tree burrows. They hung bananas in an experiment chimney from a high place inside the cage. They also put boxes and sticks in certain places of the cage they were in. The chimpanzee put the boxes on top of each other and took the banana with a stick. It is said that they have 12 tools discovered so far.

Elephant

This example took place only in Asian elephants, African elephants could not think of it. They hung a branch of a tree from the top in the area where the chimpanzee hangs over the cage, like a banana. This tree branch was at a height that the elephant could not reach with its hose but could go up to a height and take it with its hose. They put a small stump in a far corner of the elephant’s area. Capuchin

They developed a test for these crazy monkeys. They placed peanuts in a pipe. The pistachio monkey was out of reach. If he pushes the peanut from the wrong place with a stick, the peanut falls into this apparatus and the monkey cannot take it. In the second attempt, most of the monkeys participating in the experiment managed to get the peanuts from the right side by dropping them into the apparatus.

Macaque

This type of monkey uses its tail as a tool. Since they do not have the ability to grasp their tails, they grab their tails with their hands and immerse them in the water and pull their crab off their tail and lower them into the stomach with pleasure. This is how they hunt in nature.

Crow

In fact, all crows can easily solve the puzzle of drinking water by throwing stones into the water and raising the water level. They did an experiment on a crow species living in New Caledonia. They left one short stick in the crow’s cage. One long stick out of the cage. Again, they left a meal outside the cage that they could only reach with a long stick. They expected the crow to take the long stick with a short stick first and then take the food with a long stick. All 7 crows participating in the experiment solved this puzzle. Three of these 7 crows did this job in the order I wrote without any trial.

Crocodile

Some types of heron lay on stumps in wetlands to nest and pick up twigs from there. Crocodiles, who know this, make their bodies look like stumps and place brushwood in their mouths. Octopus
